RMH Systems, one of the largest material handling, packaging, and industrial scale distributors in the Midwest, is currently seeking a well-organized and self-motivated person to join our team as a heavy capacity scale technician for the Bellevue market.

This position requires a strong work ethic, solid people skills, and the ability to work well independently and with others. We need someone with strong attention to detail, good oral and written use of the English language, and a clear, polite, and helpful personality when dealing with our customers and colleagues. This position consists of primarily servicing, doing preventative maintenance, and installing all types of industrial scales (truck, floor, and bench scales). A CDL is required. Candidates must possess currently, or be willing to obtain upon hire.

Job Duties:

  • Performs diagnostics, service repairs, and preventative maintenance on cranes, scales, material handling equipment, packaging equipment, printing equipment, conveyor equipment, cranes, lift tables, etc at our customer sites.
  • Drives the Test truck (CDL required), and handles large-scale projects that require weights that can only be transported by the test truck.
  • Works as part of a cohesive team within the shop to meet customer needs. This includes assisting, mentoring, or sharing knowledge with other technicians in the shop as appropriate.
  • Performs emergency repair to malfunctioning equipment at customer site.
  • Involved in equipment installations, as needed.
  • Performs load testing for cranes & hoists.
  • Completes annual inspections programs for customers.
  • Works with inside sales team to build service business within our markets.
  • One-on-one customer interaction- Maintains communication with the customer and answers questions relative to the work being performed. Makes recommendations for additional work that needs to be completed.
  • Works with inside sales to order replacement parts, as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of existing products and pursues additional technical and product knowledge by actively participating in the training programs of the dealership. This includes manufacturer training and on-the-job training.
  • Completes service report explaining the reason for the call, equipment info, and what work was performed. Tech will also complete any other required paperwork based on state regulations.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associates Degree in related field preferred.
  • 2 years of Mechanical experience required. Electrical experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform repairs and maintenance on equipment following technical manuals and diagnostic procedures.
  • Must attain State Scale Technician License within first 6 months
  • Valid Driver’s/Chauffeurs License required, and be eligible to drive per respective state law based on office location.
  • CDL required, and must register with the Clearing House upon attaining CDL or upon hire.
  • Safety oriented attitude required
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Basic computer knowledge and the ability to operate diagnostic software.
  • This position requires 10-20% overnight travel as needed.

RMH Systems, one of the largest material handling, packaging, robotics, and industrial scale distributors in the Midwest, is currently seeking a well-organized and self-motivated person to join our team as a Project Manager.

The role of the project manager is to assist with development, and maintain and monitor multiple project plans including schedules, work hours, budget, resources, and expenditures to keep projects on track while in different stages of completion.  This position requires a strong work ethic, solid people skills, and the ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.  We need someone with strong attention to detail, a polite and helpful personality when dealing with customers and colleagues, and strong analytical skills.

 

Job duties:

  • Create a team for the project, including engineers, and outside vendors.  Review designs for thoroughness, constructability, and achieving project objectives.
  • Act as liaison between customers, vendors, sales and engineering for the project.
  • Organize and schedule project meetings with team weekly, and with customers as needed, and management when necessary.
  • Document and follow up on actions and decisions from the meetings as directed by the salesperson of the project.
  • Assist in project order entry and confirmation review to assure correct equipment is ordered.
  • Confirm and coordinate equipment lead times, delivery dates, and routing of equipment.
  • Coordinate schedules with customers, subcontractors (Installers, programmers, etc), and internal services like technicians and engineers, providing as much lead time as possible.
  • Assist with SRDs, Change Orders, and SOW as directed by the salesperson of the project.
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for the meetings as directed.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating issues prior to and during installation.
  • Manage project deadlines paying close attention to long lead times, outages and production shutdowns; and push the team to ensure timelines are met.
  • Ensure documentation is maintained appropriately.
  • Visit site regularly during installation to monitor for contractor compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
  • Develop preventative maintenance documents for maintenance activities.
  • Provide feedback, advice, project updates, administrative support, and encouragement to team members as needed.
  • Close project, and file documentation.
  • Maintains a clean work area and follows all safety practices of the organization when completing work assignments.

 

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to collaborate with customer, consultants, vendors, sales, and engineers.
  • Excellent communication, and strong phone skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Proficient with CAD, and ability to read drawings as they relate to projects.
  • PLC programming is a plus

This position will support the robotics team in the design, integration, programming, and servicing of robotic systems for our customers.

Job duties:

  • Work closely with the robotics team on the front end to qualify opportunities.
  • Work closely with the design team to provide solutions to customers.
  • Program and integrate robotic systems per customer specifications.
  • Support the quoting and securing of projects, as needed.
  • Attend customer meetings as needed.
  • Responsible for robotics (FANUC) programming and development, including identifying potential scope changes and/or problem areas.
  • Responsible for assisting in PLC, HMI, and PC programming and development, including identifying potential scope changes and/or problem areas.
  • Assist the controls team in design as needed
  • Provide onsite installation advisement and start-up.  Commissioning services on the job site.
  • Advise robotics team on design functionality and applicability of FANUC robots.
  • Ensure deadlines are met with minimal rework.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical school plus experience
  • PLC programming experience a plus
  • FANUC robotics training preferred
  • Familiar with both PLC hardware and software; Ability to troubleshoot PLC programming
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC Programming.
  • AutoCAD and RoboGuide experience is a plus
  • Safety-oriented attitude required
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
