Lift Nearly Anywhere in Your Facility with a Gantry Crane

With fixed- and adjustable-height options to choose from, gantry cranes can be used in a variety of applications making it easy for you to lift heavy materials just about anywhere in your facility. As an added bonus, its flexible design does not require building support.

Working with RMH to design the right overhead gantry crane for your application is just as efficient as the solution we’ll create for you. Our pre-engineered custom solutions are tailored to your specific needs and budget. And we’ll handle your project fully in-house, from sales to engineering and aftermarket service.

While we’re proud to be a master industrial crane distributor, RMH is even prouder of our reputation. For more than 80 years, we’ve been helping companies like yours work more safely and efficiently.

Our experienced sales staff and engineers are here to identify the best gantry system to help you work smarter, and safer and grow your business, regardless of the load, location or other lifting challenges.

What Is a Monorail Crane?

Like a conveyor system, a monorail overhead crane lifts, lowers or suspends materials across a fixed path. It relies on a track system and can be either manual or with a motorized travel hoist.

This type of crane is available as an underhung monorail crane, which uses building support to maximize floor space, or as a freestanding monorail crane, which doesn’t require building support.

Monorail cranes pair well with workstation cranes, because they allow you to telescope beyond your mounting point and pull in materials to a specific location. Great for confined or restricted areas, monorails efficiently transfer materials along a line from one point to another. This type of industrial crane is an excellent solution for improving safety for repetitive production tasks in areas that are dangerous or difficult to reach.

Our engineers recommend using a monorail crane when:

  • You need a lifting solution, but your facility can’t accommodate a bridge crane.
  • You don’t need a lifting solution that requires lateral motion.
  • You need a lifting solution that pulls materials into workstations.
  • You’re lifting items that weigh less than 5 tons.

Three Benefits of Gantry Cranes

Using overhead cranes in your facilities can reduce lifting-related injuries. These injuries account for nearly a quarter of all worker compensation claims, according to FMP Global, with an average compensation of $24,000.

Not only do gantry cranes keep your employees safer, but they’ll also ultimately protect your bottom line.

Gantry cranes can help to reduce downtime by eliminating the need for workers or forklift operators to manually handle heavy loads. This can help to increase efficiency and reduce the likelihood of production delays.

Gantry cranes are designed to increase productivity in manufacturing facilities. By increasing the speed and efficiency of material handling, they can boost outputs and reduce costs.
