RMH Systems Serves

In 2018, RMH Systems leadership had an idea: what if we made it easier for employees to make a difference in their local communities? That’s how our volunteer program, RMH Serves, got started.

The concept was straightforward—each employee receives 8 hours of paid time off every year to volunteer with a charitable organization of their choice, either independently or as part of a small group.

Since then, RMH Serves has taken off. We’ve been able to contribute around 500 volunteer hours each year across five Midwest states, supporting organizations as large as Meals from the Heartland and Habitat for Humanity, and as local as the Honk ‘n Quack Hunt Club in western Iowa.

Looking ahead, our goal is to keep building those partnerships and doing our part to strengthen the communities where we live and work.

Where We Volunteer

Twin Cities Habitat For Humanity

Our team spent the day helping Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity with two remodels in Edina, MN. Tasks completed during the day included installing a door, putting up drywall and mudding, mixing and pouring cement for a basement, framing a wall, painting, and several other projects.

LifeServe Blood Drive

Our Waukee office holds multiple LifeServe blood drives throughout the year, with more than 30 donors participating.

WayPoint Resources

When it comes to helping the needy within central Iowa’s Dallas County, WayPoint Resources is a Swiss army knife. Their services include:

  • Food pantry where people can get a week’s worth of groceries each month
  • Anytime food area where people can get daily supplemental food and other supplies
  • Clothing closet with children’s clothing
  • Free medical clinic

RMH Systems has held several drives to collect food, toys, and funds to support the work they do in our community.

Open Arms of Minnesota

Our Minnesota team got their hands and knees dirty helping Open Arms of Minnesota pulling weeds, planting beans, hauling bags of mulch, and spreading the mulch where it was needed.

Open Arms delivers medically tailored meals across the state at no cost to thousands of Minnesotans with life-threatening illnesses and critical health issues.

Meals from the Heartland

RMH Systems regularly volunteers at Meals from the Heartland, packaging bulk boxes at their West Des Moines facility. Overall, our team has packaged more than 500,000 meals for children and adults in need and outfitted Meals from the Heartland’s warehouse with necessary equipment.
