Pushback Racking
Increase pallet storage density while maintaining access to multiple SKUs

Store More Pallets in Less Space
Pushback racking allows multiple pallets of the same SKU to be stored within each lane while keeping different SKUs accessible from the aisle.
As a new pallet is loaded, it pushes the previously loaded pallets farther back into the rack. When a pallet is removed, the remaining pallets move forward toward the aisle, positioning the next pallet for retrieval.
Key advantages of pushback racking include:
✓ Higher storage density
✓ Multiple pallets stored per lane
✓ Access to multiple SKUs from the aisle
✓ Fewer aisles than selective pallet rack
✓ Forklifts stay out of the rack structure
✓ Last-in, first-out (LIFO) inventory flow
When Pushback Racking Makes Sense
Pushback works well when you need higher storage density but still have enough SKUs that dedicated drive-in lanes are impractical.
Here are a few key factors we evaluate when recommending a storage solution.
Complete Your Pushback Racking System
We incorporate the right components and safety features into your pushback racking design based on your inventory, equipment, and facility requirements.
Nested Carts & Rails
Support pallets and allow loads to move within each storage lane.
Column Protection
Protect rack uprights from equipment impacts.
Rack-End Protection
Protect exposed rack at aisle ends.
Comparing High-Density Racking Options
Pushback racking provides a balance of storage density and SKU access, but inventory flow and storage requirements may make another system a better fit.
Pushback Racking
Multiple pallets deep with LIFO inventory flow and access to multiple SKUs from the aisle.
